This submission comes from Christine over at Christine Cooks. Christine made a delicious, savory Blueberry Sauce, gussied up with Balsamic Vinegar and Thyme. Looks like my kind of sauce!
After smuggling all of the spices she needed for this dish back from New Delhi, Sra from When My Soup Came Alive created this lovely Potato dish, seasoned with Jakhya and Chayab. Adding in mustard oil, red chili powder and tumeric sounds like a creat idea to me! I'd love a big bowl of these potatoes!
This Kohlrabi Gratin comes from Anna over at Morsels and Musings. I've never had kholrabi, although I admired it's sculptural beauty many times at my farmer's market this summer. I think Anna's decision to mix it with cream and cheddar cheese has convinced me to try it!
Virgine from Absolute Green decided to play with Tonka beans for this week's WHB. She created these lovely Guyana Cupcakes, that I think look mighty scrumptious!!
Cindy from Cindy Star submitted this lovely recipe for Green Tomatoes Jam. I love tomatoes in all shapes, sizes and colors, so I was excited the second I saw Cindy's email. But adding apples and ginger to the jam?! I was in love.
The one-and-only original creator of Weekend Herb Blogging, Kayln from Kayln's Kitchen, submitted this delicious recipe for an Italian chickpea flatbread called Farinata. Kalyn seasoned hers with rosemary and black pepper, and I think it looks crispy, golden and divine!
Christine over at Kit's Chow submitted this delicious looking Oyster Omelette recipe. I would never have thought to put oysters in an omelette, but I think Christine convinced me!
Rachel over at The Crispy Cook submitted these delicious looking Herbed Feta Fritters, which highlight rosemary and dill. Check out her site for more Wheat, Meat and Gluten free cooking ideas!
These delicious and artistically styled Duchess Potatoes were submitted by Susan over at The Well Seasoned Cook. It would be hard for me to eat these because they look so beautiful, but with cheddar cheese, paprika and butter, I'm not sure I could resist!!
The lovely Haalo of Cook (almost) Anything, who is also now the organizer of the lovely Weekend Herb Blogging Event, submitted this delicious (mouth watering!) Avocado and Sea Scallop Salsa recipe. YUM!!
This tasty looking meal was submitted by Jeanne over at Cook Sister. It is a Whole Tilapia baked with Flat Leaf Parsley and Garlic. It sounds like the perfect meal to cheer you up after a bad week... which, you will notice after reading the post, is probably a good thing for Jeanne! Also, make sure to look at the cool fish eye picture - one of my favorites that I've seen in awhile!!
This tummy-warming Butternut Squash with Crispy Sage Risotto was submitted by Jude over at Apple Pie, Patis and Pate. I love the idea of frying the sage until crispy - it takes the risotto to a whole new level!!
These lovely sage potatoes were submitted from Pam over at The Backyard Pizzeria. I think they look lovely, and anything with double cream and garlic sounds just perfect for my tummy!!
Anh from Food Lover's Journey submitted a lovely post on her kitchen adventures with asparagus! Motivated by the vegetable's photogenic qualities, Anh started snapping away and then needed to create a recipe worthy of her muse. She combined asparagus, balsamic vinegar, tomatoes and fried haloumi in this lovely topping for a sourdough bruschetta.
Laurie over at Mediterranean Cooking in Alaska submitted a delicious looking beet soup. Laurie used this recipe to warm her up and calm her nerves after chasing some moose out of her garden in Alaska. Looks like a great cold weather recipe to me!
TS and JS from [eatingclub] vancouver submitted a nifty post about konubu, a Japanese kelp. They used the dashi to make three different types of broth by combining konubu and bonita flakes, in the last one also adding kelp. What a useful post about Japanese broths!
These tasty little nutella oatmeal whole wheat bars come from Ning over at Heart and Hearth. Ning made these in a valient effort to create an at least somewhat healthy dessert. I think they look great!!
This entry, titled "A Bushful of Sumac... and Za'atar" was submitted by Bee and Jai over at Jugalbandi. Their informative post tells us all about different types of Sumac, and then gives a lovely recipe for Za'atar, a Middle Eastern spice blend!
This recipe is from Haley at Appoggiatura. Haley used her late-season bell peppers from the Farmer's Market to channel the spirit of Spanish food, by stuffing them with delicious things like Chorizo and Saffron in her Spanish Stuffed Peppers.
